Maximum Freshness

We take great pride that all of our products are preservative free! However, having no preservatives makes prolonged freshness a challenge. We are proud to announce that we are switching all of our products to Modified Atmosphere Packaging.
What on Earth is that, you ask? Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is a method of packing and preserving food by changing the air composition around it. Imagine you have a bag of cookies you want to keep fresh longer. Instead of just sealing it in a regular bag, MAP adjusts the air inside the bag to slow down the natural aging and spoilage process.
Here is the process:
  1. Sealing the Food: The food is placed in a sealed package, like a bag or a container, to create a protective barrier from the outside environment.
  2. Changing the Air: The air inside this package is then adjusted. Oxygen, which is one of the main culprits in causing food to spoil, is either reduced or replaced with other gases like nitrogen or carbon dioxide.
  3. Slowing Down Spoilage: By reducing the oxygen or changing the gas composition, the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms that make food go bad is slowed down. It's like creating a special environment that keeps the food fresher for a longer time.

Think of it as creating a little bubble around your food that helps it stay fresh and tasty for a more extended period. This method is commonly used for various products like fresh produce, meat, and baked goods to extend their shelf life and maintain their quality without the use of preservatives!

All of our products are good for up to one year frozen; however, this new packaging allows packages to stay fresh longer at room temperature. Unopened Cookies are good for up to six months and unopened bread products are good for up to 30 days!
